Kakabona Village Cultural Tour

The Cultural Village Tour is guided 3 hour tour experience. It will give the visitor firsthand experience of an ideal Solomon Islands Village setting as well as a demonstration of the traditional daily living of Solomon Islanders. It will give the visitor an appreciation of the unique cultures of the islands.

Kakabona village– See the traditional village settings, learn how to prepare meals on hot stones, coconut husking and fire making, traditional forms of fishing and hunting, and learn the secrets of why locals for generations did not need hospitals and its modern medicines. This is the perfect way to immerse your-self in our culture.

Guadalcanal Historical Tour

Guadalcanal was the turning point of World War Two in the Pacific. Many relics lie in on land and underwater around Guadalcanal and parts of Solomon Islands. This tour will take the visitor to monuments, relics and museums which are of great significance to the Japanese and American Allied Forces.

Eastern Battlefield areas include: US Memorial, Red Beach, Kukum airstrip, Henderson airfield, Heros wall, and Alligator creek.

Western Battlefield areas of visit include: Vilu Outdoor War Museum, Bonege Wreak, Poha River, Vouza monument.

Duration: A choice of 3 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours tour.

Honiara City Tour Highlights

This guided tour is an ideal orientation tour of Honiara that gives the opportunity for both the first time and repeat visitor alike to discover many points of scenic, cultural and historic interest about Honiara and Solomon Islands as a whole.

Honiara Central market- Experience the daily buying and selling of the locals as well as seeing the local produces and crafts sold daily. Be sure to buy and taste a local fruit as they are all organically grown.

Parliament House- Built for the people of Solomon Islands, the National house accommodates its National leaders. The building itself shows the local architectural designs of the islands.

US Peace war memorial- Built in 1992 for the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Guadalcanal. It provides an excellent view of Iron Bottom Sound and the surrounding mountainous regions of Honiara and Guadalcanal.

National Museum- the National Museum accommodates the diverse cultural artifacts of the Solomon Islands. Other scenic on the way: Betikama School, and residential areas of Honiara
